Levaquin (Levofloxacin)



Levaquin is employed for treating a multitude of bacterial infections. Levaquin does not necessarily kill the bacteria directly but it prevents the growth and spreading of bacteria. The chief ingredient Levofloxacin which is present in Levaquin falls under the class of quinolones antibiotics. One should only buy Levaquin to treat bacterial infection but not viral infections. Proper way of taking Levaquin

Levaquin is usually taken once a day either with food or on an empty stomach. Plenty of fluids must be taken along with this medicine. Levaquin gives the most beneficial result when it is taken at the same time each day because this helps to maintain the level of the antibiotic in the body. If you are using other medications that tamper with the effect of Levaquin medicine, such medicines must be taken 2 hours prior or 2 hours after taking Levaquin.
